Presentation
The Postgraduate Program in Letters (PPGL) was founded in 1972. It is part of the Center for the Humanities, Languages and Arts (CCHLA) of The Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), in Brazil.
Its main objective is to prepare professionals to work in the areas of Language and Literature. More specifically, the Program trains educators to carry out teaching and research activities, primarily, at the University and high school levels.
Cultural, scientific and technical preparation of these professionals is perceived as primordial in the production of knowledge, ensuring that the university and its productions are in tune with current issues.
PPGL is also open to students from related areas such as Law, Communication and Psychology, introducing them to new avenues of research.
