This research aims to analyze the fissures of
heteronormativity, present in the performativity and in the social dynamics of violence linked
to affective-sexual relations. The field is consolidated from a virtual ethnographic incursion, in
the experiences of people who identify themselves as dependent on anonymous love and sex
and participate in mutual aid groups around this issue. In this context, this work is consolidated
in the midst of a period of intense political instability, as well as being structured during the
Covid-19 pandemic situation. Contemplating the fissures and erasures in the binary model of
gender and monosexuality of affective relations, it is reflected on heteronormativity and
dissident performativity, in which compulsory monogamy, as a dominant configuration of
hegemonic bonds of affectivity, is associated with the reproduction of multiple violence. In the
violence experienced in the context of affective relationships, heteronormativity presents its
discontinuities. Thus, in opposition to the fallacy of equality in the dominant and normative
social system, the neoliberal and capitalist policies imposed are contested, not only with
regard to gender and sexuality, but also to race, ethnicity, class, corporeality and affections. It
is argued that only in this context of exclusionary sociability, it is possible to reproduce
experiences such as those listed in the present material. Thus, the epistemological
assumptions started from a base of academic production with languages focused on dissent,
bringing a bias of stimulus to the intersectional look and notes that intend to arouse interest
in decolonial themes. Thus, a qualitative methodology was applied, using technological and
digital resources. Employing observation techniques with an emphasis on the density of
experiences, a scenario is unveiled that entangled losses, pains, desires, compulsions,
isolation, betrayals, in abusive and destructive bonds. Through conflicts in the field of love
relationships, which connect to family ties, problematizations about collective and social
transformations are provoked, which can resignify the notions of affection and mutual care. In
any case, this will only become possible by embracing support networks and promoting
alliances that deconstruct the hierarchization of affections, making it possible to nurture other
relational bases, in which heteronormativity does not prevail triggers for violations.

FULL-TIME SCHOOL FOR THE FORMATION OF THE
NEOLIBERAL SUBJECT: An analysis of the Paraíba Comprehensive Education
Program

Mostrar Resumen
-
In 2016, the Comprehensive Education Program was implemented in the state of Paraíba,
establishing full-time secondary education in the state's public schools. Although this public
policy has been relatively successful, there are contradictions in that it is surrounded by
networks of power relations, giving rise to different understandings. The aim of this thesis,
therefore, is to investigate how public educational policies promoting full-time education
contribute to students' education, from a neliberal perspective. In this sense, it was necessary
to understand, based on the dynamics of a state school, how the state of Paraíba, through the
Full-Time Education Program, seeks to educate its students, within this neoliberal perspective,
based on the idea of protagonism, autonomy, flexibility and curricular and management
innovation. With this as our guiding objective, we carried out bibliographical and documentary
research, as well as field observations and interviews with teachers, students, managers and
those responsible for the project at regional level. Based on the data collected, the research
showed that the implementation of the Paraíba Comprehensive Education Program meant, in
several respects, a deepening of the business view of education, through the state's
partnership with private sector entities to implement the policy, demonstrating that the role
of the state in the relationship between education and development is to mediate this
relationship through measures aimed at guaranteeing the reproduction of capital, in other
words, the state articulates and conducts public policies, including educational ones, based on
the assumptions of the private sector's logic, institutionalizing the guidelines stemming from
the business agenda. It was also possible to observe that the discourses present in the official
documents use terms that refer to an innovative and emancipatory ideology, however, when
we analyze the data from a critical sociological perspective, we see that they reinforce the
neoliberal traps of meritocracy that hold young people responsible and culpable for their own
destinies, distancing the state from its constitutional responsibilities and from a truly
emancipatory education that enables an autonomous identity. We have also shown that the
implementation of the Comprehensive Education Program, by meeting the demands of
neoliberalism, has implied a process of disqualification of Comprehensive Education, insofar
as it has reduced school education to meeting the immediate demands of contemporary
capitalist production relations. Finally, we would like to point out that the idea of
comprehensive education in the Paraíba Comprehensive Education Program leads to the disarticulation of education as a social right in favor of an economistic idea of human formation
that takes into account all of its diversity, in favor of the construction of a neoliberal subject.

In this research, I seek to understand the political relations that surround the practice
of street comedy, as well as the potential and characteristics of this artistic format
through sociology. Among the points that this thesis addresses are a sociological and
historical investigation of the practice and presence of the relationship between
humour and politics, as well as the role of the comedian, leading up to this artistic
performance in the 21st century; a description of the characteristics of the practice of
the current street clown and the street show, addressing the political elements that
make up these characteristics, and finally; to analyse in greater depth the relationship
between art, humour and politics in the aesthetic and sociological fields, starting from
the experience of street clowning in order to understand this relationship and thereby
engage in dialogue with other fields of possibility in which these elements can also be
observed.

-
In Guinea-Bissau, fanadu signals a turning point in the lives of those who have gone through it. The practice is signalled as a rite of passage to adulthood, and the appropriate stage for it to take place is between the ages of 15 and 17, when girls say goodbye to adolescence and move on to adulthood. This paper therefore analyses the practice of fanadu in Guinea-Bissau and aims to understand the meaning of fanadu in the lives of women who have undergone the procedure. Specifically, we seek to: 1. identify, from their discourses, how the practice of fanadu has impacted (negatively and/or positively) their lives; 2. understand whether fanadu really interferes in the sexual and maternal lives of the women subjected to the practice and, finally, 3. investigate whether in their views fanadu is really perceived as a form of violence. In this work, we adopted a qualitative research methodology based on semi-structured interviews with twenty-five female participants in the Cuntum Quelélé neighbourhood. Many studies consider the ancient practice, generally as a tradition from the practitioners' point of view, but it also involves controversy and various discussions about the female body, as part of its ritual involves cutting off the clitoris. In Guinea-Bissau, the practice is mostly common among Islamised ethnic groups, although there are women from non-Islamised ethnic groups who go through the ritual. These are usually women who go of their own free will, because they have converted to Islam or because of the influence of their mates. The justifications for staying are varied, one of the most common being related to the girls' hygiene. It is worth emphasising that one of the main results of this work is related to violence, a subject that is little discussed and taken into account in the Guinean context. In addition, the work included other results such as the interpretation of the meaning of fanadu linked to the notion of tradition, community and friendship.

-
The object of this work is the reasons that gave rise to the processes of criminalization of women for the practice of the crime of drug trafficking. With the expansion of modernity and the market on a global level, there has also been an increase in violence and ways of oppressing women. In this sense, not only the body but the soul of women has been the object of aggression in the most varied ways since colonialism, which currently uses mass incarceration as the newest means of dominating women, especially black women. To investigate this phenomenon, not only critical and feminist criminology was used, but also the coloniality of power to understand the processes of criminalization and female incarceration, since it is what makes modern penal control a fundamental tool for patriarchal domination. Female incarceration for drug trafficking has been presenting figures that call the attention of the academic community, as it dispels the view that male imprisonment is the rule while female imprisonment is marginal. Not taking the increase in the imprisonment of women into account is the same as continuing this social structure of gender, given that prisons, as they are also a space of control, end up pointing to the gendered character of society in general. However, this criterion cannot be seen in isolation because it is intertwined with race and class markers. In view of this scenario, field research was carried out using the ethnographic method with the application of semi-structured interviews to the ex-egresses of the Feminine Penal Colony - Bom Pastor, in Pernambuco, in order to, from the prison experience reported by them, understand the causes of this high number of arrests. The processes of feminization of poverty are intrinsically related to the criminalization of poor and, above all, black women, being one of the main causes of the phenomenon investigated here. Added to this are factors such as the sexual division of labor, the feminization of leadership in family homes, the flexibility of capital accumulation, among other factors that together give rise to a scenario of high vulnerabilities.

The present research has developed the terms of intermediation between austerity as a fundamental moral value for the liberal ideology and its effectiveness in the political form, in a period in which there is a political and ideological offensive of orthodox liberalism in the political, economic and social thinking at a national level. worldwide. Characterizing the connection between the sphere of moral values which even underpins liberal rhetoric and the political and economic propositions of structural adjustment projects and programs, we analyzed the way in which these dynamics were settled, that is, before the process of implementation of the post-Fordist Brazilian State mediated by managerialism. Using the Reports on world development authored by the World Bank Group , the Master Plan for the Reform of the State Apparatus and the MARE Notebooks published by the Ministry of Federal Administration and State Reform , the methodological route is directed to documental analysis of the guiding guidelines to list the main categories mobilized and, finally, the composition of the dynamics of (re)production of the State as a set of social relations imbued with practical meanings and moral values necessary for its structuring, which, in turn, founded and founding of the (re)productive logic of capital. -
Occupying spaces has been one of the purposes of social movements that demands political leadership and social recognition. Black women still struggle to make this change in various professional fields such as politics, entertainment, journalism, literature, among others; also in occupying management and leadership positions in public entities, or disputing the private market, spaces that are usually denied to these women. This research seeks to understand how Black women who occupy certain occupational positions experience this social place, considering their present moment and their past trajectory, how their integration or the lack of it - takes place in white spaces, and if they mainly experience the senses of belonging or non-belonging (being excluded) to these places. Their trajectories reveal power relations and forms of reproduction of sexist, racist and classism structures, as well as forms of confrontation, social transformation and resistance. There is an intersection of oppression that will make the look of the black woman a unique perspective on the place she occupies and on the relationships of belonging and exclusion.

-
The scientific view of a child its going through substantial epistemological changes since the beginning of the twentieth century. By the 1970s and the 1980s, the critical debates took place and starts questioning methods and ethics, as well as epistemological issues. Despite the growth of research on this area, children remain with little scientific visibility if it compares with adult-centered themes. In anthropological and sociological studies, the invisibility of children is greater when it comes to religious contexts and their sociability. This investigation seeks to observe kids that attend a temple, also called núcleo, of the Centro Espírita Beneficente União do Vegetal a Christian and reincarnationist religion. In the ritual, the members of this Brazilian religion drink a psychoactive tea, called Hoasca or vegetal. The main goal is to understand the social and ritual place of the children in União do Vegetal (UDV). This research is based on the process of religious socialization at Núcleo Conselheiro Salomão Gabriel, in the city of João Pessoa-PB. It follows the experiences of the childrens group. It verifies the activities developed with the group and examines how the children are included and how they react to the rituals. The hoasqueiras children, as they are named in this research, have access to the religious space accompanying their parents. However, the presence of the kids in the environment goes beyond religiosity since it has proved an important social interaction space, with friendship bonds, childs plays and contact with nature. The analysis is made through the emic perspective. Regarding theoretical-methodological aspects, this is qualitative research. The techniques of semi-structured interviews predominate, mainly with children, but including adults, and participant observation as well. Drawings have also been an important tool to collect data among children. The results show a religious practice centered on the family and hierarchy, without child occupation in it. Although the kids have no role in the rituals, the religion is very open to them. They have an active participation. Even if they cannot participate in all the sessions, they can be present in some rituals. The adults are guided to help the kids when they want to drink the tea ritualistically, and the adults also must acknowledge and consider the children will. The socialization is a two-way street, the children insert themselves and are inserted into religious practice. Both the perception of religiosity and the socialization are evidenced by the triad pairs, childs plays and nature. The experience of the childrens group among peers differs in the UDV due to this direct connection with the natural world. It has relevance both in the social and religion life since nature is considered sacred. The age group of the main collaborators is between four and eleven years old and the group is composed by thirteen girls and boys.

This dissertation aims to understand Arthur do Val's discursive strategies employed during the political campaign for São Paulo City Hall in the year 2020. Deprived of a family history and political
articulations, the promoter scenario to enter a disputed political space, figure mobilizations through digital media and the large demonstrations that took place in 2013 and ended with the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff (PT). For the members of the Arthur do Val ticket, these events appear as one of the spaces for sociability and articulation with some variations of the new right gestated in digital media in the previous decade, such as the Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL) and Vem Pra Rua. In this way, the study starts from the guiding question: how were the discursive strategies of the new youth right, represented by the Arthur do Val ticket in the São Paulo elections in 2020, designed to dispute a political space consolidated by traditional groups? Divided into three chapters, the research covers understanding: i) the cosmovision; ii) the construction of self-image (ethos) and; iii) positioning in digital media. To this end, data collection was centered between August and December 2020 on the digital media of Arthur do Val (Mamãe Falei) and Adelaide Oliveira Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Telegram. It was identified that the forms used to enter a political space were oriented towards managing the spectator's understanding of a reality from the conceptual and theoretical construction to locating the ontology of the problem, the principles of causality and triggering to its individual effects and structural (educational plan) and tension, from the production of a fact (selfspectacularization plan), an idea of events considered total, true.

Studies on teacher education in Brazil are not few and are part of a large roll that deals with professional training. But studies on the training of teachers who will develop the classes of sociology in high school have few published papers. This thesis work deals with teacher education and has as guide the concepts of habitus, professional socialization, social trajectories and writings of themselves. It seeks to analyze the formation of the social scientist who attends undergraduate graduation in the degree modality and the construction of a teaching identity. Does understanding the demand and permanence with the possible completion and acquisition of bachelor's degrees make us think about who these subjects are? What are your social, economic and school origins? What are the motivations for these choices? What were the factors that influenced this choice? What were the factors that influenced this choice? What experiences and expectations were envisioned by these subjects? Taking into account the concerns and questions about the formation of future sociology teachers, we start from the following question of how the relationships established between undergraduate students in Social Sciences during the formative process developed throughout basic education and undergraduate course but mainly, in supervised internship disciplines, do they contribute to the constitution of a professional teaching habitus, as well as a possible identification with the teaching profession at these times considered practical in academic training? This paper deals with a qualititative research with the use of participant observation as one of the techniques for obtaining the data, as well as the application of questionnaires and analysis of training memorials compiled by the students participating in the research. At the moment, the research is in the phase of the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data obtained in observations, questionnaires and training memorials.

-
Politics as we know it has always been the territory of men. I would say straight and white men. Therefore, when the agenda falls on women in the political field, we are discussing underrepresentation. And if we deepen the debate and bring in black women, the discussion is not only about underrepresentation, but we are facing the political antithesis that society is used to. Faced with a political scenario in Brazil, where black women occupy an under-representation space, the present work deals with the participation of black women in Brazilian national politics. Anchored in the intersectionality of gender and race, the argument is that it is left-wing parties that, most of the time, enable black women to enter the political field. The locus of the research is the Chamber of Deputies and in this space three women were elected as interlocutors, they are: Benedita da Silva (PT), Áurea Carolina (PSOL) and Talíria Petrone (PSOL). The research is based on a qualitative methodology, with the interview script as its main instrument for data analysis. Of course, visiting the blogs and profiles of the deputies are also part of the methodological framework, as we are working with analysis of trajectories, where memories and ways of building their self-images are of great importance. In this walk, we focus on the arguments of authors such as: Davis (1981), Collins (2019), Carneiro (undated) Gonzalez (2020), Biroli (2014), Schumaher (2015), Mill (2017) among others who think about black women, black feminism, political participation and political representation and, consequently, a public sphere that perceives black women as subjects capable of changing the order. We know that the road to political parity is far from being achieved, however, we have to continue discussing, bringing to the agenda the need that there is a huge portion of the population that needs to be properly inserted in all social spheres.

The present research has as its question: how the artist Chico César mobilizes, in his musical production of the 1990s, political and social meanings, linked to the black experience?. The work process in it was carried out through content analysis, made on the songs present in the studied material. At the end of the performance, 15 songs were identified with themes that refer to black people in terms of their social, cultural conditions and other experiences. In the examined repertoire, we also noticed 7 titles where the black culture present in the Northeast is mentioned, in a central way. With the survey of themes, which correspond to the scope of the research, categories of analysis were composed. These support a reflection and discussion on how the themes mentioned, initially, are developed in the songs. In the end, we conclude that in the analyzed songbook, practices, structures and social conditions experienced by black men and women in Brazil are evidenced through various resources made possible by the song form.

-
Precarious work is a condition that has been historically present in the occupational trajectories of most of the individuals that belong the country's working class since the time of Colonial Brazil. Advances in labor legislation from the 1930s onwards and the great mobilizations of trade union organizations from the 1960s onwards, however, do not seem to have been enough to transform this reality. Although the conquest of rights and the increase in formalization is undeniable, the improvement in working conditions has not reached all regions of the country and not all sectors of the economy, leaving Brazil still far from claiming the supposed state of social welfare announced by other nations of the world. Opposite to that, what we observe in the country is that in recent years, following a worldwide trend, precarious work has expanded, reaching more sectors and diversifying its forms of manifestation, with the establishment of new labor relations that ascend with the neoliberal phase. of capitalism. Understand the reproduction and growth of precarious work in the Vale do Mamanguape over time, as well as documenting its different contours and the impact of these labor realities on the occupational trajectories of workers and their families (in their objective and subjective dimensions) is the main interest of this researcher, in tune with other recent formulations of the Sociology of Work. We also intend to analyze how the public authoritys and the main sectors of the regional economy relate to precariousness, pointing out that the appropriation and/or stimulation of non-regular forms of work are now part of the system of both.

Race, racism and racialization in the schooling trajectories of post-graduate students from the popular classes

-
The aim of this work was to qualitatively investigate how race, as an analytical category, can condition schooling trajectories a theme that has been explored mostly by research with social class. The guiding questions were: how does race objectively and subjectively interfere in the schooling of whites and non-whites? Among the other spaces of socialization that are interconnected to the schooling process, how does racial discrimination act and what consequences does it eventually produce? The methodology used was based on studies of trajectories developed by the sociology of education and associated with the issue of school success and failure. For this purpose, cultural and socioeconomic questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were applied to white and non-white post-graduate students and people of popular origin. However, to situate the problem in the race relations field, the research paradigms developed by Carlos Hasenbalg and Nelson do Valle Silva were followed, which demonstrated that race is an effective category in assigning social positions in the class structure and enjoying social opportunities across life cycles; and Sergio Alfredo Guimarães, who works sociologically with color as a trope that hides the permanence of racial notions in Brazilian society. Through content analysis, the narratives of Alfredo, Carlos, Lia and Lília (white); Alessandra, Carolina, Cida, Ellen, Firmina and Silvio (non-whites) were investigated and the results point to a reality in which whites benefit, relationally, from racial discrimination against non-whites at school and in the community by supporting stereotypes; name-calling, insults and intimidation; nicknames; jokes; groups exclusion, lack of debate on the subject at school or its banality; curricular exclusion; different treatment by colleagues, teachers, professors, other employees and the management core; denial of access to spaces, opportunities, representations and positions; shortening of social horizons; preterition in the formation of friendships and affective, loving and/or sexual relationships, etc. In higher education, this is manifested by the doubt raised about the different writing, the chosen references and also by the lack of visibility and representation of non-white people in different spaces. All of these factors create obstacles to the formation and consolidation of capital necessary for prolonged schooling, therefore, it is essential to go beyond the analysis of social class conditions.

-
This thesis investigates the experience of upward social mobility based on the connections between emotions, morality and social class. In this sense, it is part of a set of contemporary works in social sciences that have been engaged in advancing a multidimensional and qualitative approach to social mobility, investigating it from the experiences and subjective representations of actors and the effects of social displacements on different aspects of their everyday lives (BERTAUX & THOMPSON, 1997; PAYNE & LAWER, 2018). The hypothesis explored throughout the research consists of the idea according to which the experience of social mobility is lived and signified, from the point of view of the actors, as an affective and morally controversial, difficult and crisis experience. Its implications generated internal conflicts and relational tensions that, at the same time, experienced the relationship of individuals with themselves and their adjustment to the social environments of origin and destination and expose their most cherished normative concerns with the meanings, judgments and moral estimates of their life stories, identities, belongings, aspirations and merit. I approach the subjective trajectories of men and women with the aim of understanding not only an affective economy of social mobility and its hidden injuries of class (SENNETT & COOB, 1977) but the ways in which socially mobile actors try to appropriate their social ascension, building and mobilizing narratives and repertoires to assign moral meaning and claim value to what they value and admire with respect to themselves and their life stories. As an empirical investigation of the subjective experience of social mobility and its internal and normative tensions, I use the procedure of in-depth interviews with a retrospective and biographical perspective and with emphasis on the methodological strategy of life narratives (BERTAUX, 2005). The field of interlocutors studied is composed of thirty-six individuals, living in the city of Natal/RN and metropolitan region, and who can be felt and self-perceived as having experienced trajectories of social ascension, seen comparatively in relation to schooling, occupation and residential location from their parents. The constructed theoretical-analytical framework adopts, following an effort to complement and mutually criticize the perspectives, the following theoretical coordinates: the praxiology of Pierre Bourdieu (1983a), the sociology of critical moments by Luc Boltanski and Laurent Thévenot (2006) and the sociology of morals and contemporary values in its dialogue with the experience of class and inequalities in current societies, carried out mainly by names such as Michéle Lamont (1992; 2000) and Andrew Sayer (2005).

This dissertation aims to analyze the field of digital influence in the social network Instagram, under what circumstances and motivations individuals engage in the craft of content production for social networks and what limitations/charges are imposed by the digital influence market. Aiming at the significant increase in the use of social networks and the constant digitization of the world of life, this new profession has become an important point of connection between companies and consumers in an era where advertising has become increasingly personalized through the collection of data on social network users applied by their respective algorithms. The general objective of the research was to understand the variables that influence the trajectory of digital influencers from the objective conditions of life to the particularities of individual experiences. To this end, statistics were compiled of samples collected through the Influency.me platform of 200 digital influencers belonging to the states of Paraíba and São Paulo, as well as interviews with influencers of different magnitudes to better understand their engagement in the profession and how this relates to previous life experiences, or dispositions.

The dissertation analyzes the production and circulation of audiovisual works made from cities in the state of Paraíba, in the Brazilian Northeast. From the category of independent cinema, it takes as its object the case of Jabre (Laboratório Paraibano para Jovem Screenwriters) and presents a mapping of the production and circulation strategies of the Laboratory, analyzing its methodology and results, between 2011- 2022. Created in 2011, the main focus of the project is to encourage the emergence of new audiovisual directors residing in Paraíba cities, mostly inland. The research follows a proposal of a qualitative methodology, which was developed through a bibliographic review, document analysis, participant observation of the last three editions of the project, between 2020 and 2022, semi-structured interviews with one of the creators and current general coordinator of the project and also with graduates from the laboratory, as well as the analysis of films already made. The work points out that there is an ambivalence behind the independent cinema related to scarcity versus possibilities that reflect the precariousness of conditions on the one hand and on the other strategies elaborated to make viable these products that pass through production, circulation and language.

-
This study approaches, from a sociological approach, the experience of women who live with endometriosis, having as reference the narratives shared in cyberspace about their experiences with endometriosis. According to Biomedicine, endometriosis is an inflammation that affects the uterus and can extend to other organs. Women living with endometriosis experience disabling pain, become discouraged from experiencing social life, may have difficulties in bearing children, in addition to facing disbelief about their physical suffering and, in particular, about the veracity and intensity of pain, even during medical care. As biomedical therapeutic resources to live with the disease, since it is said that there is no cure, there are drug treatments with contraceptives that address menstruation as the main cause of the disease. However, the continuous use of contraceptives leads to increased suffering, the existence of depression and other disorders. Some women have serious cases, such as deep endometriosis, which requires surgical intervention, being only a palliative treatment. Sociologically considered a long-term disease, endometriosis affects women's personal, family and professional lives. This dissertation therefore focused on an investigation around the experiences of illness of women with endometriosis, analyzing narratives (from the first suspicions to the diagnosis to the ways these women know about the disease, such as the appropriation of medical knowledge and other therapeutic processes) . The locus of the study were two private Facebook pages: Endometriose profunda, created in 2018 and Endometriose sem, created in 2017. These virtual pages are privileged spaces where experiences of pain, anguish, challenges and achievements are shared. Greater attention was sought for these exchanges of information and knowledge about therapeutic itineraries, as well as the agency of these women in living with the disease and with their own bodies. From the results, it was observed that women living with endometriosis call themselves endometriacs or endowomen. Faced with uncertainties, people living with endometriosis seek alternatives to achieve some quality of life, which may lead to remission of the disease for those who assume other self-care strategies as an intervention alternative.

-
This research was developed aiming to identify the barriers faced by homoparental families in their childrens private schools social insertion in João Pessoa, and to what extent an educational proposal that encompasses diversity can transform this group and possible social relationships, through interfamily relationships together with educational institutions. Society, within its patriarchal,
conservative structure and with potentially discriminatory structuring discourses, does not
contribute to the development of a harmonious construction, directly affecting same-sex
families and, consequently, returning members rooted in a culture or traditional family
model to society, which does not add up to a profound change. For that, a field work was
carried out with homoaffective families interviewes, such questions were analyzed from their experiences and perceptions of sociability. This qualitative research was based on Michel
Foucalt's literature, with post-structuralist bibliographic references. Families from same-sex
parents were interviewed, and we will illustrate their experiences and perceptions
throughout this research.

The emergence of a Fat Sociology as a Sociology of Transborder

Mostrar Resumen
-
This study relies upon the intertwining of the existing academic production on/about the body and the most recent discussion on feminist theory, by ways of virtual ethnography as a methodological tool, while considering online social networks as the research territory, and Instagram as its particular locus, and seeking to answer how the performance strategies of fat women on the internet break the social standards established for their existence. The guiding questions proposed here are the following: when women´s fat activisms operate their performances, what do they seek to establish? Is there a new aesthetic / ethics they are willing to push forth? What are they managing to implement? In short, the analysis proposed here looks back into to whom or in favor of what is fat activism being built? This central questioning, in turn, brought out the main thesis of the research: that the classic studies within the Sociology of the Body, and its canons, do not account for the complex specificity of the fat body. Studies on the fat body, supported by the Sociology of the Body, still delimit their analyses on diseases/health issues (focused mostly on obesity), on aesthetics (through the bias of beauty standards) and, last but not least, on gender issues (focused mainly on the impact of fat on women and their social lives). This slicing/splitting up of the fat body as a study object ends up revealing a crueller face of sociology towards fat bodies, one that reinforces the erasure of their wholeness, loosing site of their human condition, which differs from the idea of a laboratory animal to be unravelled for scientific purposes. Such problem, which seems to be rooted in a central methodological issue, can be better understood through the analysis of Fat Dissident´s performance strategies, taking it as a specificity of activism within anti-fatphobia struggles taking place online through social networks. The question of class is also considered as a landmark category capable of operating the differentiations for and between fat people. To this end, an issue that is already imposed as a starting point of this study, refers to the analysis of the fat body in its complexity of layers that overlap all these aspects widely studied by the Sociology of the Body in a separate, split up way. The theoretical impulse that emerges from the analysis of the activism of fat women on social networks online, is taking as an example what happened in the research on the black body, when the studies on race/color established their own field, to account for the specificities of women experiences lived by black people. Henceforth, the research proposed here has two objectives: (i) to study activism within the issues of social networks (Instagram) and, (ii) to analyse, as a theoretically important and innovative approach, the intricate workings of a Fat Sociology as a Sociology of Transborder.

-
This thesis aims to comprehend the anxiety social causes and whether its experience reinforces or reproduces social inequalities, based on a qualitative analysis of a virtual mutual aid group - the online group Caminho Novo created through the Community of Neurotics Anonymous (N/A), which is voluntary fellowship formed by people who share their experiences to solve their common emotional problems. More specifically, it seeks to understand whether anxiety, as a situation of mental suffering, is related to changes in the world of work and in affective and social relationships
and also in the construction and self-perception of identity, and the social consequences of
such an anxiety condition. The axis of the approach is the experiences lived by individuals in
anxiogenic states reported on these virtual forums during the period of the pandemic from
2020 to 2021. The research results revealed a correlation between the experience of anxiety
and situations of economic and social precariousness. The social structures involved in the
experience of anxiety and which are expressed in social action, from this mediator, make the
people who experience it unable to leave the immobilizing framework placed by this
emotion, reinforcing the situation of economic and social vulnerability. Anxiety is
experienced as an emotion that prevents members from entering the job market or
remaining in it, it also makes it difficult to experience affective relationships and new bonds,
leading respondents to situations of loneliness and, in some cases, divorce.

-
This research set out to analyze the movement of workers who came from the rural areas of the cities and began to work formally in the Civil Construction of the state of Paraíba, now located in its capital, João Pessoa. For the methodological approach, qualitative methods were adopted, from the realization of semi-structured interviews and in-depth to compose the analysis of trajectories of work-life, and the field journal. We also used quantitative tools to improve the outlining of the sector's objective conditions, such as occupation, wages, number of employees, education levels, ways of entering the construction industry, formality and informality levels, among other aspects. This quantitative research was based on the search in secondary data portals IBGE, RAIS, CAGED and CBIC , as well as the preparation of maps, figures and tables quantitative and illustrative of the primary data collected during field research. The union between these methods served to improve the analysis of the focal characteristics of our discussion, such as: the constant conflict between rural and urban areas as spaces under construction; the working conditions present in the Brazilian labour market; and the debate about masculinities, characteristic of the Construction Sector as a whole. With these movements of migration/transition between one place and another seen as the centre of our discussions, we could perceive which are the past, present and future expectations of these workers; as well as, how this sector becomes attractive - both in objective and symbolic terms - to house this male workforce, with low formal education that has in the city its main perspective of formalized work.
