Special Students

SPECIAL STUDENT ENROLLMENT


Location for submission: Secretariat Department of the Program


Required documents: Application form, the student application; letter of recommendation from a teacher certified in the program; curriculum vitae of the last five years and academic transcripts (undergraduate, master's or doctorate).

 

NOTE: Applicants for a special needs student place who are enrolled in a post-graduate program must also submit a declaration of regularity from their source program.

 

Students will be selected based on the criteria of Resolution 04/2017 of this program. (Document templates in the "Documents" tab)

 

Article 61. Those graduated in a higher education course may apply for enrolment in isolated courses offered by the Academic Master's Degree or PhD, as a special needs student.

 

Paragraph 1. The special needs student applicant's request must come attached with their curriculum vitae of the last five years, transcripts of an undergraduate or master's degree, and a letter of recommendation.

 

Paragraph 2. The permission for enrollment in isolated disciplines will be granted by the Board of the PPgPNSB after analysis and evaluation of the application and its annexes, by the following criteria:

 

a) At most two (02) places per course in each semester may be offered to special needs students;

b) the candidates who are teachers or technicians from higher education in higher education institutions will have priority to places mentioned in this article;

c) the classification criteria will be the analysis of the Coefficient of School-CRE Performance (for master's courses) or the Coefficient of Academic-CRA Performance (for doctorate courses).

 

Paragraph 3. The special needs student may only attend a maximum of 9 (nine) credits in the Academic Masters or Doctorate course.

 

Paragraph 4. The subjects taken by the special needs student do not earn credits for composing of the Curriculum Structure of the Graduate Program, while the student is considered of special needs.

 

Paragraph 5. The subjects taken by the special needs student may objectively be taken into account as completed, provided that they have been completed in the prior three (3) years maximum and the result of the analysis is recorded in Transcripts of the regular student in the period of approval by the Board of Program.


Paragraph 6. Special needs students are entitled to a certificate of approval in disciplines issued by the Coordination Department of the PPgPNSB.
