Doctor in business administration from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and postdoctoral internship in social theory from the University of Kentucky (USA). He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Paraíba in the administration department and the Postgraduate Programs in Administration (PPGA / UFPB) and Sociology (PPGS / UFPB). He is the director of the Graduate Program in Administration (PPGA / UFPB). He was head of the administration department at UFPB between 2013 and 2014. He is co-leader of the Center for Studies in Learning and Knowledge (NAC-CNPq). He is the current editor-in-chief of the Revista de Administração Contemporânea (RAC-Anpad), former editor-in-chief of the Journal Theory and Practice in Administration-TPA (2015-2018), associate editor of the Revista Organizações e Sociedade (O&S UFBA), formerly -associate editor of the Brazilian Business Review (BBR), former associate editor of the Brazilian Administration Review (BAR), former associate and book editor of Revista de Administração (RAE-FGV), as well as a member of the editorial board of Tourism & Management Studies (Portugal). He was the leader of the topic 4 Ontology, Epistemologies, Theories and Methodologies in Organizational Studies at ANPAD in the 2015-2017 triennium and was a member of the Scientific Committee of the Organizational Studies area of ??ANPAD in the triennium 2018-2020. He received the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences Outstanding Article Award (2021), XI ANPTUR 2014, and Semead 2018. He also received Outstanding Reviewer awards from the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in 2016 and 2017 and the Qualitative Research journals in Organizations and Management: An International Journal (Emerald Literati Awards) and RAE/FGV in 2018 and 2021. In 2019 he was honored editor of the RAE/FGV. He is a reviewer for national and international journals such as Organization Studies, Management Learning, Journal of Management & Organization, BAR, RAC, RAE, and Cadernos Ebape. He works as an ad hoc consultant for Capes and is part of the INEP / MEC evaluator bank. In recent years, he has published in journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, The Learning Organization, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management, Culture and Organization, RAE, RAUSP, BAR, Cadernos Ebape, Brazilian Journal of Research in Tourism, between others. He has experience in coordinating research projects funded by funding agencies such as Capes and CNPq with international researchers from Italy, the United States, and Denmark. He has professional experience in Administration, Tourism, and Education. Among the research topics, interest are management and education, education in administration, gastronomy and tourism, organizational theory, and qualitative methods.
