The Graduate Program in Information Science of the Federal University of Paraíba - PPGCI / UFPB - was accredited by the Coordination of Evaluation of Higher Education Personnel - Capes - on July 14, 2006, with the first group, at the master's level , entered in 2007. In the first triennial evaluation, the result of which was announced in 2010, the Program obtained concept four, which motivated the sending of a New Course Proposal Application (APCN) at the PhD level approved by Capes in April 2012, reaching with this the condition of Program in view of the comprehensiveness of the levels: masters and doctorates.
