The Post-Graduate Program in Animal Science aims to provide advanced studies on themes related to health, both for farm animals and wild animals, especially those belonging to the Brejo Paraibano region, including morphological, pathological, clinical, microbiological, molecular aspects and those involving Public Health. The inclusion of professionals and teachers of Agrarian Sciences, or areas related to the lines of research of the course, has contributed greatly to the elucidation of issues related to basic sciences, as well as the development of research to promote animal and human health, since its creation in 2012. Given the needs to reconcile regional development, profitability, improvements in the quality of life, sustainability, and environmental preservation, the profile of the professional graduating from the Postgraduate Program in Animal Science will be to identify, know, and solve the problems related to the creation and health of animals of zootechnical interest and wild animals.
