The Distance Learning Degree Course in Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Paraíba aims to train Science teachers for elementary school – 6th to 9th year and Biology teachers for high school, whether the students are beginners (without any higher-level course). ) or not.

In addition to distance classes through the Moodle Platform, the student also has face-to-face classes, field and laboratory classes. The course also aims to provide the student with solid training that will allow them to practice their profession on an equal basis with professionals trained in person. Its duration is 4 years with 3300 hours and 220 credits divided into Mandatory Professional Basic Contents, Mandatory Complementary Contents, Optional Complementary Contents and Flexible Complementary Contents.

Upon completion of the course, the graduate will also be able to work in:

Higher education teaching, basic and applied research, analysis activities, experimentation, advice and consultancy in the various areas of Biology.

It is worth mentioning that the student will be able to improve their knowledge and qualify by taking postgraduate courses (Specialization, Master's and Doctorate).

Ultimately, the course wants to give the opportunity to those who could not travel to the capital to do it remotely with the same quality, since the curriculum is the same as the in-person course.
