The Professional Master's Degree Program in Letters - PROFLETRAS - offered on the national network, is a face-to-face course with the participation of Higher Education Institutions, in the context of the Open University of Brazil (UAB), having its headquarters at the Federal University District of Rio Grande do Norte. PROFLETRAS brings together 42 public universities from the five Brazilian regions, totaling 49 units, considering that there are four universities that offer more than one unit.
PROFLETRAS aims to train Portuguese language professors to teach in Elementary School, in order to contribute to the improvement of quality of teaching in the country.
Admission to the course takes place through the National Examination for Access to PROFLETRAS, which consists of evidence with objective and discursive questions and which meets the requirements set out in the notice.
