The infrastructure of the graduate course harbors laboratories with research equipment's, teaching classes, besides access to Zoological Collections from the Systematic and Ecology Department from the UFPB. Four research areas are active nowadays (Animal Behavior and Population Genetics, Conservation and Biodiversity, Community and Ecosystem Ecology, and Systematic and Phylogeny), with many projects in development by the 26 professors from the Graduate course. The increasing participation of students and professors in research projects promote a considerable amount of original data, and generate an expressive scientific production. Considering the Master course, 241 theses where finalized (between 1983 and 2014), while in the doctorate course, 73 dissertations where finalized (between 2003 and 2014). Being a consolidated Graduate program with a distinct position in the formation of researchers in Zoology, the PPGCB welcome national and international students.
